About Us

Gali Vineyards offers estate-grown, award-winning wines in a welcoming, family-owned tasting room in downtown Los Gatos, California.

As grape growers, we farm 18 acres of wine grapes by hand using sustainable viticultural practices. Our chardonnay, pinot noir, syrah, tempranillo and albariño develop fresh fruit flavors from the cool, maritime climate near the top of Monterey Bay.

As small business owners, we love engaging with our community. Rotating exhibits of original artwork hang on the walls of our tasting room. We regularly host local musicians along with craft or food pairing activities. Our tasting room space is available to rent for private events of up to 60 people. We invite you to stop by to sample our wines and meet the Gali family.

The Land and Grapes

Gali Vineyards grapes are grown from soil in the southern part of the Santa Cruz Mountains American Viticultural Area (AVA). We believe well-tended vines produce beautiful grapes that transform into the best wines. We also enjoy experimenting with crops not typically grown in the Santa Cruz Mountains such as blueberries (first farmed in 2004) and Spanish wine grape varietals tempranillo and albariño (planted in 2013 and 2020). We hope you enjoy learning about our vineyard and the wines born from its soil.

The People

Joseph and Janice Gali are the husband and wife team behind Gali Vineyards. They raised their two daughters in Los Gatos, California where Joseph is a local pediatrician. He is also a self-taught farmer whose summers spent in his uncle’s orchard along the Mediterranean coast led to a passion for growing everything from blueberries to apples to wine grapes.

The family owns land in Corralitos (southeast of Santa Cruz) where Joseph farms 18 acres by hand using sustainable viticultural practices. This care transforms beautifully ripe grapes into the best wines with the help of our winemaker, Eric Baugher.

In August 2021, the Gali family opened a tasting room in downtown Los Gatos to share their chardonnay, pinot noir, syrah, tempranillo, and albariño with friends and neighbors.
